The DRIVE for Composite Automation

FibreDRIVE is a Loop developed offline programming tool to create and export ply configurations for pickup and placement during the carbon deposition process. The tool includes simulation of the placement process including collision detection within the system.

FibreDRIVE works directly with all our Carbon Fibre Deposition End Effectors, making the configuration process for automation simple. It includes the ability to:

• Configure pick position and align vacuum grippers to allow suitable support
• Manipulate end effectors in relation to lay up tool and preform shapes
• Create FibreTACK tacking points
