An enjoyable morning was spent hosting the Spring Workshop delivered by Dorset Engineering & Manufacturing Cluster (EMC). Highlights from the morning workshop included presentations held by Tom Cockerill from the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) and Peter Eyre, our project engineer, who gave an insight into Loop’s own experiences on the journey towards becoming a Tier 1 Supplier.
14 Dorset based companies attended the fully funded workshop and learnt more about the EMC and Loop’s collaboration with the MTC whilst also helping us to celebrate 21 years of design and manufacturing innovation. We finished the morning off with a piece of 21st birthday cake and a grand tour of our advanced manufacturing facility in Dorchester.
The tours were run by members of the Loop team showcasing the latest advances in our composite automation product, FibreFORM.
The EMC has evolved with a membership of over 350 organisations operating within the engineering and manufacturing sector. The Cluster provides an information hub for productivity, business support, marketing, funding and skills development for engineering and manufacturing companies across Dorset. Guests learnt more about the funding and support available to Dorset based engineering and manufacturing SMEs.
